Has a family member ever died and you were actually happy/glad?

Well, sort of. When my grandfather died, I was extremely sad, but I was glad a little bit since I felt good that I had finally gone through that experience. *sighs*

my grandparents died together, they had cancer and they were in severe pain. When my grandma found out my grandfather passed away, she went peacefully.

My Oma had dementia and was having trouble remembering who I was, as well as my other cousins. Sometimes she thought that my Opa was actually the father of her kids. (Their original spouses passed away years ago and they married each other when my dad was about 18). Then she had a stroke and passed away while in hospital. I, personally was relieved, especially for Opa. It was sad and everything, but she is in a better place now, and is no longer confused.
