No, but I went to the first day of the recent 5-day Apple World Wide Developer's Conference in San Francisco 2 weeks ago, and watched Mr. Jobs demonstrating various latest introductions, including the upcoming iPhone.

I have never been to an Apple conference before... I have to say it was eye-opening: not so much the products, but the reaction of the thousands of faithful. It's almost like a cult, when Steve swipes his finger across the iPhone screen to light it up, the room erupts in enthusiasm.

I roll my eyes: "It's a fancy PDA / phone!", thinks I. Nobody in the room seems to share my underwhelm.

    I gotta say, they're loyal.
