Does the thujone in the wormwood of absinthe have some of the same qualities of THC?

No. It has none of the same qualities. It was at one time thought (I believe because of chemical makeup only) to use the same receptors as THC, but that has been disproven now. It is nothing more than a convulsive and in higher doses can kill you, NOT make you hallucinate or trip or get high or anything. Links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thujone
