If you live in Tennessee, today is a day in history. everyone, no matter your age, is having to show identification, when purchasing alcohol. would this new law flatter you or will it really deter underage alcohol purchases?

I'm sure it's intended to deter underagers, and I hope people do their jobs (IE Actually checking all IDs). But I wish that all places that sell alcohol would do a better job of educating employees on how to spot fake IDs. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms provides neat little brochures that my former employer provided and went over with staff. It was a smart move, as we caught a number of minors with fake IDs. They should also remind employees that the employee is the one that can end up in jail for selling to a minor. I am sure that anyone over the age of 40 is going to be irritated, however: If you know you're going to get carded (and after the first time you will, and you have no excuse), you just have your ID ready, and it takes no more time than before. Okay, enough ranting !
