  • The temple wouldn't make any response since it has no stewardship over an individual. Each family would have different responses, so it would be difficult to say what the exact response would be.
  • Premarital sex at any age is wrong in the eyes of the church. But more so with a teenager. At that young age, they have barely begun to experience the joys and heartaches that come with being a teenager. The intamacies that go with a strong relationship is more than just the sexual act. It is the commitment and responsibilities that go with that. Any church leader will tell you the same thing.
  • If the teen is planning to attend Brigham Young University, it is likely that his bishop will have to speak with university officials concerning the matter. It is BYU's policy that premarital sex is grounds for expulsion. If he is planning to serve on a mission, it is likely the mission will be delayed until he has proven himself worthy to serve, until he has fully repented. His family will likely be very upset and disappointed in him, because LDS teach their children, through scripture, to wait to have sex until marriage.
  • IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THEY WILL PUNISH YOU, HOWEVER YOU SHOULD NOT ASK PERMITION TO BE YOURSELF, AND LDS CHURCH SEEMS TO TRY TO CONTROL EVERY ASPECT OF ONE'S LIFE EVEN SEXUALITY, IF SEX WAS BAD, GOD WOULD NOT PERMIT ONE TO HAVE SEXUAL FEELINGS, IN REALITY SEXUAL FEELINGS AND SEXUAL EXPERIENCES ARE VERY HEALTHY, AND YOU SHOULD PROTECT YOURSELF WITH CONDONS, ABOUT MORALITY, LISTEN VERY WELL, ASK GOD DIRECTLY IN YOUR HEART, AND DONT LET THE CHURCH OR THE PEOPLE IN YOUR CHURCH TO BE SO INTRUSIVE AS TO TRY TO DICTATE YOU RULES, GOD IS NOT LIKE THAT,. ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE YOU, NOT THE CHURCH, SO IF I WAS A MORMON AND WANT TO HAVE PREMARITAL SEX , I WOULD HAVE IT, AND BE VERY DICREET ABOUT AS IT IS MY RIGHT TO HAVE DISCRETION OF MY PERSONAL LIFE, I AM SURE THAT GOD WILL BE PLEASED WITH YOU TO THANK HIM, WITH ENJOYING WHAT HE HAS GIVEN YOU WITHOUT BUT'S OR RULES FROM NARROW MINDED PEOPLE. JUST PROTECT YOURSELF AND YOUR PARTNER.IAM A MORMON PASTOR IN TOLUCA (MEXICO)AND A SOLICITOR I KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.
  • The church discourages premarital sex and would counsel the teen to stop. How the family would react is as varied as individual families. Their response SHOULD be to love and support their children, while continuing to teach gospel principles.
  • Characters of the Bible had sex outside of marriage, why would any church be against it? The FLDS Church traffics in young girls as a routine "religious" practice. A man pays enough money and/or labor into the church and he is awarded a 13 year old wife. If that same man falls short in his continued support of the church, his wife or wives are "reassigned". What a great front business a church makes for the teen prostitution trade. The sad part is that the young girls have no choice, they're brainwashed from birth that it's their duty to god to shack up with some old man so they don't have to be paid to perform.
  • i know my bf lost his virginity at the age of 14 and he had to tell the church. im not mormon nor will i ever be no matter how much i love my bf but i wouldnt think it was any of the churchs business whether or not i was a virgin. that is between you, your future spouse, and God not the church... thats just my opinion.
  • If you wanted to get a temple recommend you would have to talk it over with your Bishop. During that private discusion It would be the teens option to tell his Bishop are not. One would hope the teen feels comfortable talking to his Bishop about such things. It would sort of be like the Catholics with thier confession to thier priest. All discussions are started with prayful guidence from our Hevenly Father and ended that way as well. Of course the church teaches abstinance and children that have been raised in the church understand that. Nothing in life is Black or White and the church understands that too. Sometimes its people appear rigid to people that don't understand the LDS teachings thru the Book of Mormon and Doctrine & Covenants. The closness of a Mormon family is to be envied by most of today's families. I refer you to the, "The Family: A proclamation to the world" In it it states,..."We futher declare that God has commanded that the sacred powers of procreation are to be employed ONLY between man and women Lawfully Wedded as husband and wife." And ..."those who violate the covenants of chastity...will one day stand accountable before God." The principles of faith are on every childs lips even the teenagers. Although some do stray, by far most don't. But if they do hopefully the teen will repent and the family forgive. For it's in Heavenly Father plan that Families are Forever.
