They are moving further north into the United States and appear to be killing off our regular bees. There have been news reports lately, of farmers having to purchase bees to pollinate their crops.

I don't have an answer for you but I remember being a kid and the horror stories that they were moving up the U.S. and were about to invade Canada. That was 20+ years ago.

They are common in Texas, about a month ago a bulldozer operator was killed by them near here. They are a huge problem, not only to the health and safety of humans but to the honey industry as well.

They arrived here in Florida this past year. I haven't heard of any storied of people being injured by them, but apparently they're here to stay.
