Firstly, this question BLATENTLY says you're breaking the law, since you are saying you've illegally downloaded movies without paying for them and now want to create DVDs from the downloads which is another offense. Why are you asking someone to help you break the law? Secondly, if you want to compile a DVD, never just dump video files onto it. If you do, you create a data DVD which a PC can use but a DVD player cannot. If you want to put YOUR OWN VIDEO CONTENT on a dvd, do so by creating a video DVD (which will take substantially longer as the video must be recompiled into the correct format for DVD recorders to be able to understand it) - any conventional authoring software can do this.

Hopefully you are trying to burn legal movies. Not going to give you a lecture about that because it won't answer your question and this answer might help someone who needs for legal purposes. You will need a program to convert the files into a dvd friendly format. Without getting to technical, Files on a DVD are basically a variant of mpeg2 encoded files. Therefore, you are better off converting your file to mpeg2 first. This free program will do that for you with damn near any file type you ar likely to encounter: http://www.winnydows.com/page.php?2 the program is called xvid4psp and you can google that to make sure i am not linking you to some virus. Once you convert to mpeg2 most DVD authoring programs should make quick work of burning a standard video dvd. good luck
