The solution of the minimize exercise is 2log((x^2)+(x^-2)) and it's initial form is log((2x^2)+(2x^-2))+log(((x^2)/2)+((x^-2)/2))) and how come my result is always log((x^4)+(x^-4)+2)?

Your answer is the same. (x^4 + 2 + x^-4) is a square! It's (x^2 + x^-2)^2 and log (x^2 + x^-2)^2 is 2 log (x^2 + x^-2)
