DO NOT TAKE IT OUT!!!!!!!!!!! the jewelry keeps the hole open which allows the pus and other fluids a way to leave the wound. taking it out could stop this escape route and lead to an abscess or other serious problem. what likely happened was that when you bumped your piercing, you caused a tiny rip in your tongue and because you (probably) didn't start a more intense cleaning regimine, it's gotten a little infected. start cleaning it again the way you did when you first got the piercing (ie: salt soaks, mouthwash, etc.). if it doesn't begin to feel better in a few days or so, go see a trusted piercer as doctors are notoriously uninformed about piercings.
