  • As far as I know anytime you have a warrant for your arrest or your license is revoked/suspended a WRITTEN notice is supposed to be sent to your home. (Typically the address on his license). If you've recently moved, or if the address on the license isn't the correct mailing address, the notice was sent to the wrong place. The responsibility of that lies on you, not the state- so you cant do anything. If the address is correct on the license and you received no written notice in the mail, go to the court house or police department (depending on the city) and ask when the written notice was sent, and confirm that they did in fact send it out. If this can't be confirmed, you may be able to go before a judge or magistrate and appeal your sons case of driving on a suspended license unawares. If you do use this option, make sure you get a statement from the DOL, or a police officer saying that the written notice was not in fact sent. If his license was suspended very recently (anywhere from 1 to 7 days ago) though you may not have a case, as the written notice may still be in the mail system.
