Why do some guys hide the fact that they look at porn?

If people think they will be judged or somehow faulted for something they like to do, they will be less inclined to want to discuss it. Societal norms and pressure keep many common everyday activities, like looking at porn, in the closet.

Mostly people hide things they are ashamed of. I doubt if guys mothers taught them porn was ok. Most women feel porn is intentionally degrading to women even if they don't admitt it. Your everage woman does not want to be "thought of" the same way or in the same terms as a woman is portrayed in the porn industry. That is why porn should always be realized as fantacy. Many men look at porn because the more "out there" the situations are the more excited they get. How they separate in their minds what is ok and what is fiction I do not know. Judging by the extreme situations portrayed today one would think there is ALOT of anger in men and that they want to regain control over women. Maybe that is why they hide their actions, so no one "finds out" about their inner feelings that are unacceptable and unattractive to women in general.
