  • Absolutely. Any relaxation technique that calms or focuses the mind and body can be considered meditation.
  • Very close to what I do on answerbag! I dont even hear people speaking right next me!
  • Yes. There are different forms of meditation.
  • There are a lot of forms of meditation. I think if you're going to consider this meditation, it would be good to have some specific practice that you're doing. The biggest thing that matters to me is the mind's tendency to just drift off into thoughts, imagination, reverie, etc., and lose touch with the simple presence of the moment. So there are a lot of times when I'm not in a formal meditation setting, where I'll keep "jerking my chain" to bring myself back to being present, having drifted off for the billionth time :) If you're doing that regularly -- exerting effort to "re-center", then yes, I would consider it a form of meditation.
  • Maybe more relaxation than meditation (is there a difference?) anyway sounds good to me, maybe i will try it!
  • I am doing this at times and find it usually very good.
