  • I don't think that you will be a bad person if you do any community service. There's more to that actually. You can still lead a happy life by doing different activities as long as it is for the good. Community service isn't the only thing out there.
  • I can't give you a straight answer. Maybe you grew disillusioned at something you can't actually identify. Did something happen there for you to stop feeling a strong connection with volunteer work, was it gradual or sudden? Maybe you could help in other ways, make a donation for example. And no, questioning things doesn't make you a bad person in my mind.
  • Sometimes even the best of things need a rest. If you truly enjoyed it, you may want to comeback to it later. The fact that you did enjoy it is proof of you not being a bad person. Your life changes, your needs and the needs of people around you also change so it's all part of a natural process. You're cool, don't sweat it.
  • It would be worse for those you work with if you did it out of a sense of duty rather than desire (to help). It is far more shaming to accept help of any kind from a grudging source than the overflow of goodwill from some-one who really cares. Sometimes people have more energy to give than other times.. don't sweat it.. the time & etc. you have given in the past is worth so much more, you may or may not feel the desire to return to that sort of work but in my opinion some-one who does it half-heartedly is worse than needing to find some-one else...
