This might be something worth looking into: compacting it into bricks so that it can be used for heating.

You're reading I have access to tons of free Pine Tree (softwood) sawdust from a nearby sawmill. Is there anything useful/economically viable I could do with it? I have heard of making ethanol from wood ? Any ideas?
