Long hair or short hair? (men and women) Why?

I think all men look better with groomed hair, short or crew cut style. I just can't get into the long-haired look on guys.

High and tight. Been that way since I joined the service, and can't imagine it any other way now. But I prefer long-haired girls.:)

Long hair on women, shortish hair on men, but no buzz cuts unless they're military and have to. I like to have hair to play with.

Long hair for a guy. When I see a guy with short hair, I always have negative thoughts about him. I don't know why exactly, I suppose it's one of my quirks.

It really depends more on the persons head shape and face. Some men are gorgeous with long hair and others look horrible with it. The same goes with women, I for one can not pull off a short haircut because of the shape of my face (believe me I have tried) but I think short hair looks fantastic on others.

Guys with long hair tend to catch my eye. I'm not sure if I can put my finger on a solid 'why.' I just like the look. I'm indifferent to hair length on women. What matters the most for either sex is if it's flattering and well kept. Greasy, smelly hair of any length makes me want to drag that person to the sheep shearing pens.

Guys just look better with short hair... gals just look better with long hair... call me oldfashioned if you want, but this is my opinion non the less.

Men - Long hair only looks cool on under 25 surfer / skaters, past 30 and your a hippy! Probably next stage where its acceptable is over 900 i.e. Wizards (Dumbledore) Santa Claus, etc. Women - Well, you only have to watch Springer to see the effects of short haired women....

My hair is 3 1/2 feet long. I have not cut it in over ten years. I love it this way... and I wear it this way to please God. ^_^ I am not very openly religious... but I do believe in the Bible, and it talks quite a bit about the importance of a woman to have uncut hair - for modesty, for a covering, and for power.

I wear mine short for practical purposes. I can't do a thing with it long without having it permed. And as that is too expensive and my hair grows fast, I can't afford it. Also, as I color my hair to cover gray (and I turned gray in my 20s), I can't both perm and color it because it's too damaging. As a 20-something, I was more concerned for covering gray. Now in my 40s, it's more about expense.

My hair was long my entire life. I got it cut for locks of love a couple times and then it was really short for awhile and now its medium, people say its long but to me this is nothing. I really liked my hair short but I miss my long hair so I'm growing it out again... unless I change my mind... again.

I wear my hair long, I have always gotten comments from everyone, about how pretty my hair is. I did cut it once because my ex-boyfriend, asked me too, I did, because, I felt like I needed a change, and hated it, everyone else loved it, they said it was just like me, perky. I wear it the way I want it.

My hair is mid-length I guess. My longest layer is about an inch from my bra strap in back. I've always worn it this length with the exception of about 13 years ago when I got it cut short (chin length). I hated it! In my opinion it made me look much older than I was, and I was very uncomfortable with losing the length. I wear it this way for "me".

growing up i had a goal to have the longest hair in my family - only my sister beat me out. my hair was below the pockets of my jeans until i donated it once sophomore year, then again senior year. i do my hair for nobody, barely do it for myself. now it's medium i think, and really thick. kind of a hassle, i'll probably cut it soon lol

I personally like guys with short hair. But there's more to a person than his phyiscal look. Short or long hair doesn't matter as long as the guys have good personalities.

Do you mean on guys? I prefer my men bald. I think its very sexy. But short hair is nice also. Long hair on guys is a no, unless of course they take good care of it. On females I prefer long hair. I love my long dark hair.
