Very carefully, and only cold foods! You wouldn't wanna drop steaming hot food on your baby's head. there's a breastfeeding hold that I was taught when my son was born (it only works for a very small infant as an older baby is too heavy to hold with one arm). You take the baby and lay them down the length of your arm, with their head in the palm of your hand (that way you can easily manuever their head to the breast) and their butt in the crook of your elbow. The baby should latch on to the opposite breast from the arm you're holding them with (so you're essentially holding them straight across your chest). That way you leave your second arm free for other things, like eating, or flipping channels on the remote =)
