Look, I'm no general, but I think the best way to win something is to send more troops (to a point of course). The more guys with guns on our side, the more people on the other side will die. So, if a more reasonable number of troops were sent over I think it would end everything faster, and then overall less troops would have to be sent and sent less times. Again, I'm no general. :o)

I'm still all for pulling everyone out and letting them kill each other. Hard to control something that's happened for centuries.

I think it's time the U.S. created an exit strategy. The war is obviously a failure.

Well for we all know Bush has cough some faults, his idea of a surge is not a bad one, if it was done right. What many people dont realize that many people for Iraq to have been stablilized and security restored required somewher in the range of 300,000 or more troops. If we take a look at japan as an example after world war two, the troops level their after the war was in the 500,000 thousand. So the question left is if the American people are serious about ensuring peace in Iraq than we must increase the number even more, but if that never happen than we might as well pull out

I completely support our troops but do not support this WAR at all. If sending more of our citizens to die is patriotic then we might as well call ourselves the Soviet Union.

The US should reduce it's troop level dramatically now and totally withdraw by the spring of next year.

My view on the whole situation with the troops is, NO ONE was drafted. They all chose to be in the military. When you go into the military, you should expect to go to war. I'm all for this war being over, but I feel better knowing that Men and Women from my country are over there protecting me as best they can from those homicidal fanatics over there. I don't think we should withdraw until we are a hundred and ten percent sure that we have the situation taken care of.
