W-D 40 or white grease you can get at a hard-ware store
-
WD40 always helps. And it comes in a can with a little stray that you connect to it to get in the little nooks and crannies.
-
As everyone says WD40. You can buy it at any hardware store or places like Target, Meijer, and dare I say it the highley despised Wal-Mart.

Any good lubricant would make the job. Please visit http://www.keymart.com/lubricants.htm

WD40 helps with any squeaks, trying to take off tight rusted bolts,

If you don't have any WD40 on hand, use some sewing machine oil, or any light machine oil, or you could try some graphite. In an emergency, you can even use lock de-icer as it has slight lubricant qualities.
