  • I'm assuming that he has contacted the police department responsible for issuing the ticket? Did he get anywhere with them? Also, is there a warrant out for his arrest? They might have recorded a physical description of the person on their ticket...so maybe that could prove your fiance's case if the physical attributes don't match up. If you can't make progress with the police department, I would contact the judge that is over traffic offenses (assuming it was a traffic offense). You'll probably have to contact the judge anyway, since I'm guessing there's a warrant out for the unpaid ticket. And it never hurts to have a lawyer...and some proof that the ticket wasn't his. I really don't understand how they could issue a ticket to someone with their license or something being presented. Did your fiance lose his license? If so, did he get a replacement from the Texas DMV? They should have records...and that could also potentially "prove" that he's innocent.
