Like the pipes played by the Pied Piper of Hamelin, can just imagine all the rats pouring out. That would be eerie.

Sometimes they can be, because whatever song they are playing might be off key just enough to give it that eerie vibe.

i find it quite hypnotic...but i enjoy annoying the ice-cream driver by shouting "MIND THAT CHILD!" as loud as i can. the funny thing is the sticker is on the back of the car so how can he see it to remind him self not to hit the children?...i usually get a nice jolly reply of a couple of fingers

I have trained my child to run from the ice cream van noise. The ice cream man that stalks our neighborhood is the amalgamation of all child predator pictures you've ever seen. He is only missing some blood stains on his shirt.

Not really, except when I'm away from home and hear ice cream van music that's different than what I'm used to at home, it's weird.

I think it's bizzaro... Truly, whenever I hear it, I think of evil clowns who are pedophiles... sort of "John-Wayne-Gacy-ish" I looked at the inventory of one, once, that drives irregularly through our neighborhood... nothing there that is of interest anyway, so I wouldn't let my kid (if I had one) bother spending money there... They can go to the Baskin-Robbins or the dairy on the corner and get way better...

Yeah, it reminds me of the movie where a spaceship landed and turned into a circus tent filled with a bunch of clowns. They captured people and put them into cocoons so they could save them for food.

sure does, not sure why though. ice cream truck drivers always (sorry... usually) seem a bit creepy so maybe it's that.

not where i'm from. the ice cream trucks here just ring a bell. and they play whatever is on their stereo.

yes they seem to play greensleeves all the time they could at least play the song from the cornetto advert. its the music that sounds like its in a horror movie its played through distorted sounding tinny speakers too.

Very eerie, its sounds like the ice cream bloke/woman/thing is going to put you in a sac and take u away.
