Too Much Time On My Hands

I didn't want to reply that there aren't any such verses until I had checked several English translations... but having been through four of them without finding anything I do think it's safe to say that there just aren't any.

There are occasional references to the cities of Mecca and Medina (e.g. the importance of making the pilgrimage), but nothing specifically dealing with the Hijra, or flight. The reason is thus: The Qur'an, according to Muslim belief, is the record of everything that God said to Muhammad (pbuh). These messages largely consisted of (1) rules to follow and general advice about behavior: dietary laws, inheritance laws, sexual morals, etc. and (2) theological explanations: God explains that he is the same God of the Jews and the Christians, Muslims can trust and believe in the Old Testament, Adam/Noah/Moses/Jesus/Jacob/Joseph and all those other major Biblical figures are prophets to be respected, Jesus was not crucified despite the Christian belief that he was, etc. The Qur'an is a text of great beauty, but it is really a practical how-to manual for Islam. It does not summarize the historical record in the way that the Old Testament does.

Muhammad (pbuh) and the early Muslims knew they had to leave Mecca because the Meccan pagans would kill them otherwise. So Muhammad (pbuh) traveled around the region looking for a community that would shelter his followers. He found what he was looking for in Medina (formerly Yathreb), a predominantly Jewish settlement that agreed to take in the first Muslims. But since the Hijra is something Muhammad (pbuh) planned and executed on his own, it is not mentioned in the Qur'an. The Qur'an is only the word of God to Muhammad (pbuh), not the word of Muhammad (pbuh) himself.

N.B. You'll note the (pbuh) throughout this answer. It means "peace be upon him", and many Muslims, whatever language they are using, put this after our prophet's name as a show of respect and devotion.

The quran is written in a way that it communicates with the reader and some communication is directly from God To Muhammad pbuh. There might be verses in the quran that relate to that event even if they did not explicitly spell out the words hijra and that you he had to relocated.

The point being that what ever Muhammad phuh did was sanctioned by God and one of the major reasons for migrating was because he had not been given permission to defend him self by GOD.

Early Muslim went to Ethiopia for safety and others went to a near by town but were rejected and eventually along with the prophet arrived in Medina while being followed by angry Meccans who wanted to kill them.
The prophet was accepted in Medina and though he was attacked by the Meccans remained victorious but this was after the Quran had given a clear permission for fighting in self defense.

The same was the case for those muslims in Ethiopia but the King of Ethiopia, a Christian protected the muslims on the grounds that they worshipped the same God as him and believed in Jesus pbuh while the Meccan were idol worshippers-something that you do not see many Christians doing today!!!!!

The migration from Mecca to medina was a paralell to the Isrealites migration from Egypt while being persued by one of the Pharoahs.
