Have you ever had your teeth whitened either by a home kit or professionally? If so, did it work for you? Pros/cons?

I used some whitening strips and they made my teeth a little whiter for a time. They were not worth the price IMO and, I don't like super white teeth. It looks strange to me.

i did last 2 years ago for prom, it worked for about a week. The advantages are in pictures your teeth look better but disadvantages the one home kit i used you had a weird feeling from the gel on your teeth a hour before dinner. Then dinner came around and after 30 minutes of trying to get all the gel off some was still one. Id rather get shades lighter by a real dentist.

yeh at the dentist i had them whitened and it was cool but it went away already cause i have to admit i drink alot of soda and also smoke so i am not the best candidate to ask

Yes. I've used the home kits that can be purchased over the counter and I have used a kit provided by my dentist with custom made trays for my teeth. I could not use the kit provided by my dentist, because the whitening solution was WAY TOO STRONG for me and really irrirated my gums. I have used the Creast White Strips which, worked pretty well, and I've used a product called Go Smile, and it works very well too.

I haven't used anything like those whitening things just normal brushing and letting the dentist clean them.

I get them good and white by brushing with Arm & Hammer brand tooth paste.

I've used crest whitestrips but I haven't disciplined myself to use them regularly, yet.

Crest Whitestrips work greatly! (about 1 box) just gotta keep brushing afterwards for them to stay that way.

I use whitening toothpaste, but that's about it and it isn't very affective.
