Nope, differant archetypical myths.
-
god and abbah same dude i think lol
-
The word Allah means God. However, the world view behind the Allah of Islam and the Allah of Christianity is totally different and irreconcilable.
-
I would say different guys, or at least they have different primary qualities according to their adherents. If you ask a Muslim one word to describe who Allah is, he will most likely say "Allah Akbar" (God is great). If you ask a Christian one word to describe who God is he will most likely say "God is Love" (Although a Christian might agree God is great, it wouldn't be #1 on the list).
-
To some Allah is God. God is a term used to describe not a name. Allah is a name. Just like my name is not Mother thats the way my child might describe me though.
-
In Islam, most certainly, He is.
-
God and Allah are the same. Allah is Arabic for 'the God'. God without gender or plurality. Christians in the Arab world also refer to God as Allah.
-
Yes. If you were a Christian Arab, you would call God Allah, not God. "The most likely theory regarding the etymology of the term "AllÄh" (اﷲ) is that it is derived from a contraction of the Arabic words al- (the) and ʾilÄh (deity, masculine form) to al-lÄh meaning "the God"" Source and further information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allah Naturally, different religions, different philosophies, even different people, have some different representations of what God is.
-
no there is only one true God. His son was Jesus
-
Yes, because Allah means God in Arabic and the Koran, the Holy Book of the Muslims talks about some of the same characters mentioned in the Bible's Old Testament, even Jesus and the Virgin Mary. So, it is a continuation of the same concept of God.
-
Well, that depends on what you mean by "God" and "Allah". Both are simply titles. "Allah" is the Arabic word for "God". Hence, the words are synonyms. Now, the Islamic religion is of the Abrahamic line. It evolved from Judaism and Christianity as another way to worship the Abrahamic god Yahweh. Thus, Islam shares the same Deity as Judaism and Christianity. It diverges as to how to live according to Yahweh's law. It diverges from most Christian denominations in its rejection of the Trinity. (Not all Christian denominations accept the doctrine of the Trinity.)

definitely

Although Allah in translation might be God, Allah is not in any way to be equated with the God of the Christians. In the Christian Religion, God is a Triune being comprised of God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. Although He has many names in the Bible, Allah is not, nor will ever be one of them. There is only ONE TRUE God, and that is God the Father, Son, And Holy Spirit.
-
okay...the answer to this question is most definately yes. God and Allah are one in the same. Christianity teaches that there is one God, Islam teaches there is only Allah. Christianity, Islam, and Judaism are all from the Abrahamic belief system. In the Torah there is only one God and that is the same God of Christianity since the Torah is merely a portion of the old testament. There is not doubt that Judaism and Christianity share the same God. Anyone who doesn't feel that Islam does hasn't read the Qur'an or done any research as can be proven by the following "Tell [the Jews and Christians], 'We believe in the Revelation which has come down to us [the Qur'an] and in that which came down to you [the Torah and Gospel]; our God and your God is one; and it's to Him we surrender.'" (Qur'an 29:46)
-
No, definitely not. There are those who would have you think so. Do hard research to learn the difference between the two so that at least you won't be deceived. When you are seconds away from dying I'd be willing to bet in that instant as to the God that you're praying to. Allah can't save you.
