  • most start off with what the family has taught or shown then. after you get older, you either feel comfortable with that religion or seek something else untill you find one that fits your beliefs. ( thats my thought and experience anyway)
  • I was born and raised catholic, and after MANY years of study and going around talking to people of different faiths and their priests, nuns, pastors, deacons, even rabbi's, and reading everything I could get my hands on about god and religion, I could now say I'm a bit of a Free Thinker/ Science of the Mind type person. But that was just me, some like to be like "sheep" and follow what they've learned from childhood, no questions asked. Pity, big world out there to discover.
  • I investigated, and tested out what was true or false to my satisfaction, separately from my parents and came to my beliefs and feelings as a grown up woman. I always like to make sure of truths before I give myself to them. To blindly believe in anything is ignorant and dangerous, I feel.
  • Many do so out of interest, enquirys and because of personal conviction.
  • Atheism. I see no evidence for ANY kind of god.

  • Agnosticism.

  • Most people stay in the spiritual realm that crosses their path. It's hard to get them to consider anything else once they become caught up into the circular reasoning. They do not want to hear anything that goes against the grain of what they already believe. As soon as anything foreign comes along that challenges their belief system they become defensive because nobody wants to be wrong. Or to think their heroes could be wrong. It's kinda like "don't confuse me with the facts." Problem is, once they get locked in, they may be trapped forever.
