well depending on your computer it could take a while to download, i actually have it, and it works well. but it is illegally downloading shhhhh

No not a scam you can do a one time payment that makes it better though. As for viruses it really depends on the computer I know that I have protection and nothing bad has happened to mine. I also on the other hand know that most the time you get the viruses from downloading porn off there.

People get infected not because of Limewire, but because of downloading untrusted content. It makes no difference if you got the music from Limewire, Bearshare, WinMX, a web site, a web folder share, someone's iPod, a friend's email........... Untrusted content comes with risk. Period!

There is a free version but Limewire Pro is a one off payment software. To be quite honest I have had it quite a while and it is not very good . The choice is very limited and certainly not worth paying for what you get. I have good anti-virus but have never come under attack from Limewire.

Any sharing program will open the door for viruses. One of the things to do is be smart. If it shows a song that is only 1 or 2 kb, when everyone else has it for 100+, then you can bet the dinky file is a trojan. Compare the length of things you download when there are several. Look to see if they are similar in size, or if one is much larger or smaller. Go the 'most traveled' road. That may not PREVENT all viruses, but it will go a long way towards protecting you. Buyer beware! (even when not paying anything)

nope. ive used limewire for over a year on my computer and no viruses have resulted from it. sometime the files that you download require a certain website you download to play them and i dont trust that factor. but simply go back to the search menu and download another copy of that media. all in all its good=)

Limewire isn't a website it is a program and it depends on what you're type of files you are downloading, if you doing shady things chances are that file came from a shady person. I don't really like limewire, not enough search results, try out frostwire.

It's illegal, and your most likely to get a virus, unless you are using a Mac. It is EXTREMELY rare for a Mac to get a virus. I wouldn't risk downloading from limewire, why would you want to use something that is likely to give you viruses?

But unlike LimeWire & Kazaa their isn't a straight feed so it's undetectable and the tracker stops at thepiratebay website NEVER tracing it your IP Address. Therefore you can NEVER get caught. You can get everything from: Movies, Games, Music, TV Shows, Books, Software & Applications...even PORN! *Porn searching requires an account which is free to sign up and your downloads are UNLIMITED! All of this is free to the public. *Note: If you come across a .RAR file and your computer won't open it. Download WinRAR, it is a program that unzips those compressed files. A .rar file is just a large folder compressed to a smaller folder for easier downloading or to use less space on a hard drive. limewire is the one where u can download the music and movies,but since they are connected with all the other computers in network....so people will upload all virus and spyware on that...those file size will be less.hence before u download anything make sure u open the approximate file size and then download.I also suggest u to have a security package in u r computer.

its actually fairly safe you just need to know what you are looking for in temrs of file saize and formats that is what will keep you from downloading a virus....most security packages will prevent these viruses from being downloaded anyway...use it a few times and you will learn the in and outs...I use it quit often
