    Call the Dell service center. They will walk you through the install if you have the disk, or they will walk you through the download off the internet. In the USA 800-624-9896 for home, small office computers. I had this problem too... they took me through a site online that no regular person could have deciphered, and helped me download the proper driver for my monitor. Have the service tag number from the back of your computer ready and also the numbers from the monitor you are trying to install.
