  • Your question makes no sense. You say "Historically and fundamentally scientific arguments do not attack". Science is a process of discovery. Scientists are human beings. Do not confuse the two concepts. Science is not about "attacking", it's about finding evidence, verifying it, and presenting it. If you flat out ignore what science has proven to be true, then yes, people will make fun of you. That's not "science" making fun of you, that's people. Your lack of knowledge about science is just the reason why those people are making fun of you. You ask "Why would someone be looked down upon for saying they don't 100% agree with "global warming"?" Because "global warming" is not something to agree with or disagree with, it's just a fact of life. It's like saying you don't 100% agree with evaporation. There are many theories about the cause of global warming, some natural causes and some by man, but there is no doubt the phenomena is occurring. Right this very minute, it's hailing outside. Little frozen balls of ice are falling form the sky. It's June. And I live in Central Florida. If that does not tell you our weather is seriously messed up, then nothing will.
