I've seen them and stayed in them in many different states. We even live not too far from 2 of them.

You said you thought KOAs were too expensive. I would like to suggest state parks. A lot of them have all the hook ups as KOAs and they are generally quite less expensive. They will not all have the swimming pools, but they make up for it by each being unique to one another. Happy Trails!

We have a mountain retreat center that has cabins. Jumonville Center in PA, very amazing view and out-of-the-way set up.
