Why does my pee look purple? It has been happening for about 5 months now

It could be a number of things, from a genetic disorder to what you're eating or medication you're taking. The real question is why you've waited five months to do anything about it and why you're asking the question on AB rather than to your doctor. Seek a qualified physician's advice immediately.

It could mean you have acute intermittent porphyria, a rare genetic disease. Speak to your doctor about it immediately

you could have blood in the urine. you need to go to a doctor, you could have kidney failure, or disease. there are many types of porphyria that can cause it too.

you might have Acute Intermittent Porphyria it a disease that turns you pee purple so ask a doctor immediatly and make sure you tell him/her every detale about what is happing to you and when it first started. The disease can be treated.

there is also the possibility of you having a sickness you can look it up on google or medical website just look up purple pee it sounds odd but it is a fatal thing if you are sick with it.
