  • yes, electrical storms. happens all the time. or there could be a storm several miles away and you can see the lightning from there.
  • In Florida we get what's known in the vernacular as "heat lightning"... it's basically static in the sky. Best thing is, you get the light show, and don't have to hide indoors. Heat lightning doesn't touch the ground.
