I believe AB is becoming more and more a social site every day, (Mainly opinion and discussion), instead of a place to find straight factual answers (that happens too, but to a lesser degree, I'm afraid), so that name wouldn't be out of line.

I definitely think that the comments sections will become more ''used'' by users, as the site grows it's inevitable this is how many users will communicate...especially if you consider Answerbag is a ''social question and answer site'' afterall. Lately I've noticed many more threads which have nothing directly to do with either the question or answer in hand, and things like the infamous ''Lentil Soup thread'' (http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/820337) contribute to this new focus in my opinion. However, I think people will continue to ask and answer questions, so the main onus will still be on that rather than AB being a ''Commentbag'', with socialising being a pleasant side effect.

I absolutely hope so! I love reading and writting comments to my friends here on answerbag. I think I like it even more than answering questions.

It will happen and already started. Questions have been asked before so they combined and have been answered before so no one looks at old posts that much. but Comments!!! well those are fun but wow that soup one was really lol a shock to see as one post.

No. There could be much comments on some questions if some people want to talk, but the basis stays asking and answering question.
