I lived in the same house for 18 years and I moved amay almost 20 years ago.. my mom still lived there but recently put her house up for sale to be closer to me and my brother (we live 50 miles away from her).. it is sad that she is selling the house after all this time.. but its for the best, and in the long run it will be easier to have her close... she has already "staged" the house for showing so it allready doesnt fell like my house anymore it looks like a hotel lobby...

I moved from pittsburgh Pa to Boston Ma. also from Boston Ma to Richmond Va. I missed Family and Old friends the most.! however, some of the grocery / food idems differ from area to area and you can not always get the same things your used to; example Pirogies, chipped ham some types of veggies. certain cleaning products ( Brands) your used to using are not available. each area has what sells and what will not sale and you adjust to what is available.

Coney Island. I grew up in Detroit and Coney Island was like, this wonderful restaurant that is on darn near every street corner and has 24 hour menus. If you ever go to Detroit, stop by one and get some chili cheese fries or a Coney dog with the works. I also miss better made potato chips, and Faygo. I can't find either reasonably priced in the South.

I have. I used to live in a little podunk town called Black Diamond. I hated it there. I am not all that far away, but I have moved many times in my life. Always in the state of WA though. As far as what I miss- I miss my friend Katy that I left behind with all my moving. She moved away last I hear, to.. Ohio, or something like that? Maybe I'll call Dr. Phil. :P

I grew up in the San Franciso Bay Area -- as it was becoming Silicon Valley. I now live in Los Angeles. I think I miss the weather the most. LA is miserable in the late summer/early fall. In my old stomping grounds it would stay light longer in the summer (it's further west) and the fog would roll in most every night to cool things off so things never really got uncomfortably hot for more than a day or two a year.

Yupper...I was born and raised in San Diego...in 2000 I moved to PA... I miss being able to decide I feel like going to the beach at 2200 and then in 20 minutes or less...there I am! I miss being able to pick up a six pack of beer for a reasonable price, or a decent bottle of wine AT THE GROCERY STORE... I miss the smell of the beach...the salt water.. I miss less expensive produce and lots of fresh fish to choose from..... I miss knowing, with hardly a moment's thought, where exact east, west, north and south are...no matter where I am...

My parents moved the family to Phoenix in the 60's. What did I miss about Niagara Falls, NY? Only the family, Grandparents, cousins. Nothing else. The weather in Phoenix was hot in the summer but great in the winter. No more shoveling snow. The kids in Phoenix were much more friendly and laid back than my old school where it seemed every guy was aspiring to be a tough guy.
