Definition 3 is relevent here, a Humble Background is one that is that is low in quality, ie Poor, unfortunate or broken emotionally.
Humble Background is a much nicer way of saying it.

Well, what I call Humble might be different to what Paris Hilton calls Humble.
Rednecks are a culturally retarded, uneducated stereotype. They can be described as from Humble backgrounds, but I dont think they should. Humble should not be applied to my definition of redneck.
