I don't know
-
I try to. Sometimes I don't and I'm not afraid to admit it. However, I will then go and do some research, if it is within my power to do so.
-
I wouldn't want to make a mistake about thing I don't know about, but then again I do voice out my opinion in cases I may be unfamiliar of.
-
I frequently do. The field of what i do not know is far vaster than that of what I know. I might as well admit it and let curiosity lead me to seek the truth.
-
I would and do very often.
-
I hardly ever say that. I just say, give me few minutes while I look that up. I love learning new things.
-
Yes, I will say it. I will be glad to know from the person who knows it.
-
Absolutely; the longer I live, the more I realize how little I know.
-
My sister used to always make fun of me if someone used a word and I would ask that person what the word meant. I suppose she thought it showed mental weakness. I think it shows a desire to learn and not sit there and be ignorant. Never be afraid to admit you don't know something because it will usually lead to a learning experience.
-
Yes I would say I don't know.
-
It really depends...if i wanted to impress someone...i would make an educated guess....
-
What else could you say that is truthful.
-
Of course..otherwise you'll look like a darn fool, and who wants that?
-
If you want to retain your integrity, you do. It's funny, but the more educated people become, the more difficulty they have admitting that there are limits to their knowledge. But we all do, even within our fields of specialization. The secret is to say: "I don't know, but I can find out for you." Then, do it.
-
Lets say you are in a business and you have a client and they ask you a question. For exaple > You are a mortgage broker and your client asks will i be pre approved for a home loan even though i dont have a house to get an appraisal on. would you say i dont know. Definatley not because, if so the client would feel that you were un educated in your line of work because i obviously the client doesnt know the answer to what he/she asked because, if they did they wouldnt be asking. but yes in some case i dont know is ok to use. maybe outside of the business world but in business never a good decison to use the phrase i dont know
-
I only came in here to see how many people answered "I don't know."
-
Yes. However, I wouldn't go around answerbag cluttering things up with lots of "I don't know" answers.
-
I have no problem saying I don't know...or saying can you please explain....I don't understand.....anything of that sort....I will say I don't know but I will find out.....and actually do so...there is nothing wrong with being honest....you can't know everything and because you weren't taught something doesn't mean you are stupid....Ignorance can be healed....arrogance can't.....
-
Yes. I seem to say it quite a lot.
-
ABsolutely
-
Yes...just say I don't know. Show you're confident enough about yourself to admit it. Honesty is not weakness--it's a strength. There are enough people who lie because they're too insecure to admit that they don't know something. They're weak on the inside--no matter what they try to project. There are enough lying weaklings around--keep your self-esteem above that!
-
It's really the only intelligent answer. Yes.
-
Yes, i always want to learn more;0)
-
Yes I do that all of the time.
-
Umm yes, whats the point in saying other wise?
-
If you don't know ,then say so! If you areunclear as to the facts ,elaborate ! If it';s an opinion then go ahead i.e. do you know who wrate "pleasant Valley Sunday "? To say "the dave Clark 5 then you are a fool ! You either know or you don't is the person's jacket going to be warm enough tonight ? Well the weather says it's going to snow !is an answer !you are sharing info ! Not giving an absolute !
-
Yes I would say that I didn't know.
-
yes with a sorry, a strength is knowing your weaknesses.
-
yes. why not?
-
Yes , better to admit ignorance and willingness to learn than to be proved ignorant and stupid.
-
I'd just prolly make something up just for the laughs....j/k yea I would say don't know.
-
It's better to say you don't know than to formulate some lie.
-
I reserve the right to make a comment or suggestion.
-
If it ever happens, I promise that I will. Seriously, I always say when I don't know something, when you pretend, that's stupid.
-
Better to keep ones mouth closed and let people assume your an fool, then to open ones mouth and remove all doubt.
-
I don't know.
-
Sure. Then, if it's something that I want to know or need to know, I go look it up.
-
Yes, because i'm honest!
-
Yes I have.
-
+5 Yes. I do say that often and then I find out
