Honestly, I will hold my purse closer to me... But only because I don't trust that person. But others have approached me... and I usually end up giving them money because they put forth the effort and asked... I'm still very hesitant tho!!!

I say "No hablas Ingles senor" and I walk right past them. It works like a charm. We have shelters and institutions to help them with their problems. I'll be damned if I will support one of their vices.

i give at every opportunity i get. i've given even when i could hardly afford to do so, and have always received. The tables can turn at any time in life. Wouldn't you like a hand to reach out to you in your time of need? The bible says give & you shall receive. My mom cries each time she talks about her childhood of going hungry some nights. If i could spare one person memories like this, i gladly will.
