about 3785 g or 3.785 kg...I only believe in metric
1 litre of water weighs 1 kilogram, thus since there are 3.79 lites in a gallon, a gallon weighs 3.79 kg, which is 8.36 pounds.
there's a uk saying a pint of water weighs a pound and quater (20oz)
LOL! I only know the saying a pint a pound the world around. SO there are 8 pints in a gallon. It's always been close enough for me but if you need exact, it might not work.
just over 8 lbs, minus heavy metals...
In the UK, 1 gallon = 8 pints = 160 fluid ounces = 160 ounces = 10 lb.
In the US, nothing is ever simple.
ok then, 1 US gallon = 8 US pints = 128 US fluid ounces. = 128*1.04 oz = 133.12 oz = 8.3 lb
