Well I have 2. My Chuck Taylors are my favorite type/brand/style. But I have a specific pair of shoes that I had for about 10 years- Vans, double tongue, green suede. They were THE most comfortable shoes I had ever owned. I wish I could have another pair, but they stopped making them. :( Basically a typical skate show but with a second tongue.

I like this question. Back about 35 years ago, my parents got me a pair of shoes where they bought most of my clothes, at a garage sale. These shoes looked like a pair of black and white golf shoes, without the spikes. I really loved those shoes. But, I had a pair of high-top Cheetah sneakers I got at Mervyn's after I got married. Those shoes lasted longer and were more comfortable, than any other pair I've owned.

At work they are provided, at home most of mine are New Balance brand. For airline and driving I wear slip-ons - Merrell brand. +5

I used to think that my Lands End Trekkers were the best shoe ever made, but now that the shoe lace strings keep breaking, forget that idea. I have no answer, now. I just buy whatever shoe fits.("If the shoe fits, wear it!"(funny, but true.))
