Why do people who would treat their own car, their mother's car, or their best friend's car with perfect respect think it's OK to attempt to remake Gone in 60 Seconds in a rental car?

Materialistic Things dont Matter. Even the people in India know that. Go slow by school zones though. The police dont like speeders in school zones especially.

Think about it - when it's your car, your mothers car, or your best friends car, you know the owner. You see them regularly. In the case of your own vehicle, you are responsible for everything about it. Insurance, damage, etc. When you rent a car, you get damage insurance for $11, and you get the keys to a strangers car. It's that sense of 'I can do what I want, hand the keys over, and I'm free of responsibility'. People don't get that often in life. Some treat the vehicles nicely but some take advantage of the situation and 'see what the car can do'. I agree that it's stupid, but I think that's it.
