In Youth Hostels, where is luggage stored to ensure it isn't stolen?

I hope it has improved since the days I was in them...there were no lockers or safes. We did have things stolen. But the world is a very different place now. I am sure there are lockers and safety deposit boxes. Contact the YHA central office nearest to you and ask them. They will be able to give you the correct information. It is a wonderful experience to travel with the Youth Hostels. I met so many wonderful people, had the greatest discussions. We spent New Year's Eve holding slides of one guy's trip to Ethiopia up to the light to see the rock monasteries, then we went out into the snow and had snow fights. Those experiences you can't replace.
