You can always try to look it up in one of Robert Parker's (or Oz Clarke, or any of a number of other critics). The guide may not list your specific vintage or even winery, but you should be able to look up something that is similar in style. If you have a cellar (or cellar refrigerator - looks like a beer fridge, just not as cold). I suggest that you buy at least a case of whatever wine is in question. Drink a bottle about every 6-12 months. Once it reaches the right point (depending on your taste), finish it off, give it away as housewarming presents, etc. That's the best way, since you're the one drinking it. If you only have one bottle, then looking it up is best. But make sure you have good storage (cellar 55-65 F) or it will be a crapshoot when you open it. Good Luck!
