  • I'm loving it. Doctor Who is seriously the highlight of my week.
  • Nope, I think all 3 'new' series are brilliant. I only have a mild dislike of 1 episode, and I think David Tennant is fantastic. I can't wait for this year's Christmas special!
  • Dude....I saw half an episode....and after it....I felt stupid!!! I will never, EVER watch it again!
  • I HATE Doctor Who with a passion. It's just... Ugh. But that's just my opinion.
  • Not I and I've been watching it since the 70s. I do miss Rose but Martha was okay. I really liked Christopher Eccleston as the doctor better than David Tennant but he's okay. I still miss Tom Baker though :-)
  • I love it. Unlike the classic, they actually have a budget and writers. Plus, the hour-long episodes are better than the old format. Lastly, they delve into The Doctor as a person. He isn't just a Time Lord. You delve into what it means to really live for centuries, heartaches and all. And much of that time was alone. Can't have friends if they'll just grow old and die on you as you watch then shrivel up before your eyes while you remain ever-youthful. Plus, my wife thinks Chris Eccleston is hot.
  • I hate Dr Who period . I have never watched an episode the whole way through.
  • I have to say, I honestly have loved every doctor that has played the series. Tom Baker is my favorite for childhood sentimental reasons. Since I am in the United States, to more directly answer your question, it is hard for me to know which is the most current since I believe there is a delay here. But from what I have seen my enthusiasm is not diminished.
  • I don't care for the mix of parody and seriousness. I prefer sci-fi to be the latter.
  • It used to be very good back in the 70's. I've never really seen the latest version, but I've heard it's not so brill.
  • I'm loving it. If you don't like it don't watch it.
  • what are you? Crazy? The new ones are great, you should try them again.
  • Dr. Who is not quite my absolute favourite, but it is high on my list of favourites ... I also like the spinoff, "Torchwood" ...
  • This question is a time traveler itself, since it was asked nearly one year ago, and I am seeing it for the first time. I've been an avid fan of Dr Who ever since the originals came out on US TV. Quite often when the doctor renews into another life, it takes me some time to get used to him, but I always do. I love the show, no matter who Dr Who is.
  • I like the new series. I have to admit, I miss the flavour of the old series. It was in many ways more aimless, like the Doctor himself, and that appealed to me. He also didn't spend so much time annoyingly on Earth, or trying to impress his companions (in the good old days, they were assistants!). I even like the look of the old TARDIS interior more (the one during the Tom Baker era). But I am happy the series continues, and understand that some of the changes are carefully calculated to bring in (successfully) larger audiences than ever before, make it seem less geeky, and raise ratings overall so it doesn't get sadly cancelled again.
  • The new series is absolutely brilliant. And it keeps getting better. It is really well written, and has alot more action than the original series. It is more polished, better acted, better produced. The new series has a lot more care and attention paid to it than the original series ever did, because the makers are all old Doctor Who fans and remember what they loved about it and made it great. Furthermore, even if it's a little different, and a lot more stylised, it's better to have the essence of Doctor Who back on the screen, rather than nothing at all.
  • I do enjoy the current Doctor Who. I find it clearly preferable to Doctors #6 and #7. Doctor #10 (as well as #9) have portrayed him in the classic Tom Baker style. The personal relationships the Doctor has with his assistants add a logical and realistic dimension to the episodes. I also like that the episodes from Doctor #8 and on are filmed rather than taped; I prefer that look. Having said this, I am nonetheless quite disappointed in Series #4. The first two episodes and the recent period Wasp episode were good. But others have been re-hashes of previous Series' episodes. And they have politicized the series with the Doctor suddenly abhoring guns (in the hands of the good guys!) and a rather clear disdain for the military.
  • I enjoy the new Dr. Who very much.
  • Nah love it! David Tennant has to be the sexiest geek on the planet. The graphics are good, and I especially like the 2 library ones! I'm awaiting Billie Piper's return!
  • No, I like it, I'm not really a sci-fi person, but I think that Mr. Tennant is a really great Doctor, but then I didn't watch the originals... they always struck me as overly cheesy, but as I said I've hardly seen them. It's really really good - considering it is meant for kids too...
  • HATE IT?!!...!!!?...!!!? OF COURSE I HATE IT! HOW CAN YOU NOT HATE A SHOW THAT HAS SINGLE HANDIDLY DESTROYED ONE OF THE GREATEST AND MOST INNOVATIVE PIECES OF TELEVISION EVER CREATED? A SHOW THAT WAS ONCE FULL OF SO MUCH IMAGINATION AND INNOCENCE, HAS NOW BEEN TURNED INTO SOME GHASTLY SOAP OPERA:WITH DREADFULLY MUSHY DIALOGUE, GHASTLY ACTING, BLAND SETS AND A ONCE WONDERFULL CENTRAL CHARACTER NOW TURNED INTO SOMETHING AKIN TO A RANDY SAILOR WHO HAS A WOMAN IN EVERY PORT! YEAH,TO BLOODY RIGHT I HATE IT! RUSSELL T DAVIES YOU WELSH *!*#*#!
