Do you think they say to count down sheep(10 sheep, 9 sheep, etc) in your head as your falling asleep because the word sheep sounds like sleep, which makes you..sleepy?

no. they say it cuz it sounds like "sheet" which is, of course, the way people in england pronounce "shit".which is where this saying originated, and this is important because they are full of shit in the uk.thats why their eyes are brown.

my teacher said that it is proven that counting sheep doesnt work becauseyou are more occupied by the sheep and you forget to sleep
