  • I've got a whole compilation of classical CD's burnt into my computer. I can't tell you stuff whether it is movement 1, or allegro con molto brio or anything fancy like that but there are hundreds of pieces that I know quite well.
  • i could do that a helluva lot better than i could name bands that are on the charts right now.
  • some of them, yes... some of them (most of them), no

  • Yes, I grew up with rock, pop, folk, blues, jazz and classical, I play classical piano and switch easily between music types. I know classical music just as well as i know my era of music spanning the 60-90s. And I know that era very well.
  • I could name a few...but maybe just the composers.
  • I just found this website to locate names of famous tunes. You will need to type in some info.....note names if you can http://www.multimedialibrary.com/Barlow/index.asp I just found something I was looking for--good luck to you!!
  • Yes, I can. • I usually can't name them, but I can recognize them most of the time.
  • I'd like to think so, but I've seen enough pieces I didn't know before on AB that I'd have to say I could do fairly well.
  • I've been listening to classical music and opera since I was about 8 years old, and I'm 62 now. I can name a vast amount of music, and in some cases I can recognize the style of a piece I don't know and name the composer. I can't differentiate between more obscure baroque and renaissance composers, but for a lot of music from Beethoven on up to today, I can probably do well. Not to blow my own horn or anything! :)
