  • Forever and then 10 days after Eternity
  • Yes, and then I think he should rot in Hell.
  • You bet. I once worked with a high school guy in the 80s who was facinated by Charles Manson. The guy even went so far as to write a letter to Manson in prison. He got an 11 page double-sided handwritten reply, which he brought to work and read excerpts to us. Our horrified response was, "You gave Charles Manson your address?" He was only impressed that he got a response and that Manson "had some really cool ideas". Needless to say, we steered clear from the dude after that.
  • I believe that almost everyone is capable of reform, but people like Charles Manson are exactly the reason why I use the word "Almost". So yes, I think he should stay right where he is, rotting away the rest of his miserable existence in prison. I don't think a serial killer of that magnitude could *Ever* be a functional member of society again, some people are beyond reform, and simply too great of a risk to ever be released. Honestly, I'm surprised that his parole is even being considered anymore, even if he *Did* completely reform, he'd have to be put into protective custody for the rest of his natural life to protect him from murderous vigilantes.
  • Yes I do. I think he should die there.
  • Yes. He is a very disturbed, sick evil man. I was a young girl when I saw the movie "Helter Skelter" for the first time and it terrified me.
  • Honestly, I think they should have just given him to the families of the victims and saved us all our tax dollars.
  • Yes. I also think these parole hearings are a big waste of tax payer money.
  • Well this may sound hard but I think they should have just killed him and got on with life. Then no one would have to worry about him ever getting out and doing anything again.I think he is a whorped mind that has no bounderies.Keep him there till he rots.
  • yes i do. he deserves to be rotting in prison forever until he dies and then chopped up into pieaces and fed to alligators.
  • I think they should have done away with that blight on humankind years ago.
  • Yes. that is one crazy (insert expletive of choice)! He is pretty much walking evil. He probably worships Dick Cheney.
  • Don't be to harsh. Remember Hillary wants to give felons the right to vote. I'm sure Charlie would vote for her.
  • Yes, he should stay there.
  • Absolutely. And I resent every penny that he has cost the state beyond the essentials of living. It's a loathesome idea that he can continue to cost the justice system money.
  • Only let him out if you want him to stay at your place. Let him stay where he is.
  • personally i see this as a great opportunity to raise tax dollars. What we should do with people like Manson, the BTK killer, the Green river killer, David Berkowitz and any other serial killer/ mass murderer is to once a week put them all into a pit with swords and shields. It would be like the movie Gladiator, only for real. Survivors would be given a one week reprieve until the next episode. Sell advertising on the TV for the weekly Gladiator match. The show could be referred to as, "The Games". The motto to any potential heinous crime perpetrator could be,"if you commit that crime, you too could be in, The Games".
  • I sure do. I think they should have dragged him out at the end of the trial and hung him like he ordered his followers to do to Sharon Tate and her baby. Or beaten to death like they did to the other couple. The man's sick and even admitts thst if he were let out he'd start up again with a new "Family". Why do they continue to waste our money giving him hearings and keeping him alive?
  • He should never ever get out of prison, and actually he should have been hung, gassed, or electrocuted long ago.He is a waste of space !
  • I think he should be executed.
  • it would be over twenty years ago that i saw an interview that they did with him in prison, and even then one of the few things that he said to the reporters was, they ain t never gonna let me ought of here. not ever having met him in person ,just seeing him on t.v.,there was no doubt in my mind that this man could never be released, ever.
  • I think behind bars is too good for him,the bars should be wrapped around his neck....
  • yes i do,but the next time president bush has ozzie osborne at the white house for dinner, manson should attend.
  • I can't see him contributing anything positive to society at this point. Yes, he is institutionalized. Let him stay.
  • Yeah. And he will. No one wants to be the one who let Manson free and then find out later that he started a new family and did something just as bad or worse. And, believe me, he'd start a new family real quick. There are a lot of sickos out there right now who would follow him and do everything he says. The thing is, I don't even think he really wants to get out jail. I think he is afraid of society in general.
  • He doesn't even WANT to get out!! Have you seen his parole hearings on CourtTV?? He's INSANE!! He should be put down and out of OUR misery, because we pay to let that animal live!!
  • This is exactly the attitude Manson was complaining about.....how the media has used him as a scapegoat to get away from America sending all those men to Vietnam, just like its doing now in Iraq.....ancient media technique, deflect the camera away from the big action and spin it out on another smaller action..... coupled with the fact he DIDN'T ACTUALLY KILL anyone in the Tate and LaBianca killings, why do people still have a fixation with them outside morbid curiosty and who are they to decide he should be "punished"? Yes, its wrong to kill, but then again, why isnt the camera focused on those idiot teenagers (now all respectively rotting under the media circuit somewhere, no doubt), when they were the ones who held the knives??? The Bible tells us to stone people and certainly not to tolerate a homosexual. Do we do this? No. Because we know it is wrong. Those kids knew full well they were wrong, you can't put the blame on someone else. The horrors which took place there are dreadful, but as a vegetarian (and I do believe Manson has stated somewhere he either is or was) I think keeping chickens in boxes until they shit on their own feet and pump them full of shit so they can't move until you tell them to move, and wring their necks or however else these creatures are disposed of...well, that's murder and you accept it and eat it, just like you eat the media garbage spoonfed to you about whats right and wrong. Keeping a man in jail for over 30 years for a crime he did not commit and letting a rapist who infected over 8 women with the HIV virus knowingly get off on 8 years..... Yes, people can reform. I don't believe for a minute Charles Manson is a threat to society. Maybe his ideas pose a threat, but you have adverts telling you to buy this product for your car and that product to make your teeth white....nobody makes you go and buy them. Give the man a break. He said all he wants to do is "Walk on the grass". I'd rather have a cup of tea with him any day than hate-filled people who would rule out a verdict such as "Death". Jesus, I wouldn't want to be caught nicking YOUR flowers!!!
  • Of course, stay behind bars and die there. But I don't think his punishment should end there, he should suffer in hell also. Along with Hitler and other mass murderers and serial killers.
