Aphrodite IS (many still believe and worship) a goddess of love, sex, and beauty. Her realm is more of physical love than the concept of romance. The height of Her worship was during the peak of Greek Hellenism. In ancient Greece, Her holidays were called Aphrodisiac or Aphrodisia, and Her worship included ritual sex with Her priestess and sacred prostitution (a whole seperate subject).
