I wouldn't wear white pants at all...not too flattering. Go with jeans or khaki's if you have the choice.

I'm against white anything because of the stain element. Me and the color white don't wear so well. As far as style is concerned I have seen a lot of people wearing white bottom and brown top combos. You have to keep in mind that we necessarily aren't talking about straight colors here because we can allow for striping such as a brown stripe that runs vertically up the seam. That would look good with the right kind of top, cut and fabric.

White goes with any colour. More to the point tho'...only wear white/white if you are very slim and have long legs. And better still, winter white or cream, with matching footwear. Tan is better for most body shapes.... Brown goes with many colours too. Brown top with black pants is very stylish, especially with black/brown earrings, like a leapard pattern. Hmmmm...very smart!

Absolutely! White goes with anything. That brown top can be worn with black too. And for summer combinations - turquoise, pink, lime green.

Yes. Both are neutrals and safe to wear together. Just make sure the textures match and the patterns, if any, aren't competing. Colors itself, yes. You could even do a cream/off white as well and that would look fantastic together.
