  • Without question it is easier scientifically to go out into the universe than it is to bore into the earth. The pressure, heat and material make it very difficult to penetrate the Earth to any great depth.
  • Apparently putting people on rockets is a lot easier than getting through our hard surface of earth.
  • that is pretty strange, i mean there are so many species we know little about because we can't really find them, like the giant squid for instance. but hey, we can cruise 230,000 miles to go poke around on the moon and see what's up there apparently.
  • I really don't think that's odd at all. After all, I didn't even recognize it at all. If you go deep down the earth, you may strike rich with emeralds, diamond, and other such items that may be high in value. However, if you go outer space, you may find items that may be more valuable that gems and minerals, probably something that can help the human life. Probably another reason why no one has gone deep down into earth may be because that it is hot and some say that under the earth may lie hell. {I have never heard that before.}
  • It's not odd, it's easier. There is a place in the Atlantic Ocean where the mantle is exposed that we have just begun to study and it may only be a matter of time before we have the capabilities to probe the inner core of the earth.
  • Have you ever seen the caves in Borneo or the ones under the Yucatan Peninsula? Some caves go on for miles and have formations created by gypsum and sulfuric acid.
