I doubt that there is any one right answer, but I'll give it a shot. According to some traditions, sex is ONLY for procreation so the only acceptable way is to get married and have 37 kids because those same people usually also believe that birth control is akin to first-degree murder. Oh, and do NOT have fun while doing it; that is also a sin. Some traditions are more liberal because there are enough murderers, pedophiles, and other truly evil people out there that touching yourself in an impure manner really isn't worth worrying about. My personal opinion is closer to the latter view. We are all sinners, because if we were not, why are there confessional booths? God forgives far worse things than that, so be human, act natural, and if you TRULY feel bad about it, then go in the booth and remove the taint from your soul.

Do not worry, masturbating if fun it allows your brain to imagine all sorts to wonderful pleasures. What you do or how you behave is between you and you. Do not assume there is a white bearded all knowing man (GOD) up in the sky or under your bed who gives a dam. What really is important is how you treat people.

I just had a talk with the man upstairs and he told me you can masturbate and it would be just fine with him, Just be discrete. sorry about my grammar and spelling. I hope it makes more sense now

There's nothing in the Bible that suggests that masturbation is wrong or bad. Certainly, as with anything else, masturbation can become an obsession...but it's not inherently sinful.

The Bible does not say that masterbation is a sin. But lust is. Thus if you imagine and delight in fornicating or commiting adultery, that is a sin. I doubt that masterbation decreases the sexual urge or the build up of semen. I expect that it increases it.

This question is mostly relevant in an Abrahamic religion (Judaism, Islam, and Christianity). Speaking from a Wiccan perspective, neither sex nor masturbation are a "sin." We have no problem with either one (so long as the former is between two consenting parties and not pedophilia). I wanted to add in my answer to show that not everyone believes masturbation or sex to be a "sin."

You are right it does not answer the question. BUT if you take the time and read between the lines the answer is saying that masturbating is not a sin so do not worry. Or find another religion that finds playing with yourself is just fine, or keep masturbating and enjoy feeling guilty for 10 seconds. If masturbating will not get into the pearly gates they would have to shut down the gates and we would all be in hell. Not masturbating is just anothe religious control thing to be laughed at and there are to many to mention here.

It's not a sin, for God's sake ( er.. so to speak!) The way you release sexual pressure is... MASTURBATE. Stop taking a religious point of view on it. Everyone masturbates. If you insist on some medieval way of looking at the world, then decide that God put your penis there and made it handy to use in this way. No one's hurt; you feel good. It's a winning situation. Masturbation and religion have nothing to do with each other.

Masturbation is absolutely a form of sexual immorality. You do NOT need to release "sexual pressure". That is a lie of a morally corrupt, pleasure-seeking world. Avoid sexual lusts and stop thinking about it and that will disappear. Don't let Satan tempt you! Pray and stay in the scriptures.

Heroin.

You have two choices. Find yourself a nice piece of ass......or stroke the stick. Nothing "sinful" about it. Sex--without lusting, of course--is a natural physical necessity same as eating, sleeping, or going to the toilet.
