  • Be sure to consider the possibility that the argument he's claiming is the reason he wants the divorce is just a cover for something else. He may just want out, or he may be upset about something totally different but he doesn't want to talk about that so he's using this. Other than that, all you can do is try to talk to him. If he's insisting on the divorce, I'm not sure there's much you can do.
  • In your response to the divorce filing, you should get your lawyer to ask for mediation - I'm sure the court will order it because it is usually cheaper and less demanding of court time. During this mediation, you can hopefully resolve the argument. I don't believe any court would accept an argument as the only grounds for a divorce. As someone else said, it could be he is using this as a front for the real reason he wants out of the marriage.
