I don't think so, when one has an interest in things of a religious or philosophical nature, I think one finds the beliefs of other people on these topics of interest as well.

no, many years back when i was catholic i was extremely interested in the greek orthodox religion.not so much that i was interested in changing religions at the time but the saints of that particular church really impressed me as being very deeply spiritual.

No, I don't believe it is weird. Catholicism is based upon universalism, not truth. Keep searching the Bible.
